About the course

This course is generic training on delivery and assessment of Open Awards courses. It comprises a total of 5 modules that support you to develop assessment activities that meet the requirements of Open Awards Qualifications. Who is this for?

All tutor staff at an Open Awards Approved Centre
There is no set duration for the course but we expect that it will take up to 3 hours to complete. You will have 60 days to complete and achieve the course. This 60-day limit starts from the minute you purchase the course in the eShop. Failure to complete the training within the set time frame may incur charges for your centre.

The course is split into 5 Modules with the following titles;

Module 1: Introduction to Assessment

Module 2: Planning for Assessment

Module 3: Writing Assessment Activities

Module 4: Building a Portfolio

Module 5: Giving Feedback.

Each module will appear in your user account after each one is completed as there is a set progression route to this training.

You will achieve an attendance and participation certificate at the end of your course when you have completed all 5 modules, so as long as you achieve 80% and above in the post-course assessment.
